Older Hotel but good location
This hotel has had many changes in the last year. It was hope to the #1 Friday Happy Hour but the hotel was sold and they are doing away with that. It is about 2 minutes from Hilcrest. You can walk it but it is a good 1/2 mile or so walk. The staff is very friendly and the rooms have been redone to look fresh. For what they charge this hotel is a good value if you want to me close to Hilcrest.
Fail
Just tried to get rates and availablility for a trip to San Diego. I was told I'd have to book a minimum of 5 night stay. Reservation person couldn't tell me why. Probably won't try again. Too many other options. Feeling snubbed.
Simply sublime!!
My partner and I stayed here pride weekend (2013) and we will certainly be coming back. Even the most basic rooms are large with separate kitchen and dining area. Shower was nice ... Large mattress was firm but comfortable ... Super convenient for parade and festival, though a ways from University if you are into the club scene. Great staff, very professional and courteous .â
great hotel
Awesome rooms and good location within walking distance to Hillcrest bars and restaurants. Very gay friendly. The Friday evening gay event on the roof top is very popular with the locals.
Great remodel of this classic hotel!
This is now called THE INN AT THE PARK and not Park Manoe Suites. The new owner is doing an amazing job remodeling all of the rooms! New everything with a purple, black, grey, and white color scheme in each room...very modern as opposed to the old style rooms. Still the best location for Hillcrest and Balboa Park... and walking distance to The Loft, a great neighborhood bar!
