Mixed, Popular, Crowded
Mo's (formerly Hamburger Mary's and still called by that name occasionally) always has a full crowd on its patio dining/bar area, and sometimes a full dance floor inside (mostly on country nights and Sunday tea dance). When the interior is dead, it can be dark and glum, and even dining is best al fresco. More women and straights here, but definitely gay and sometimes a bit too crowded (as is Fiesta Cantina across the street).
Just Ok.
Not a particularly friendly crowd or service and no entertainment other than a drag show on Wednesday or some country dancing other nights and TV sets on. However, for some reason, may people there every night.
Tuesday Night Showtunes
I've been to the standard Showtunes night at bars in Minneapolis (Bolt-Eagle), Chicago (Sidetrack), and San Diego (Urban Mo's). The show tunes experience has been by far the best at Urban Mo's. The selection is never the same from week to week, but it is always good. They also have $5 all-you-can-eat spaghetti at the same time. I have never been disappointed there on a Tuesday evening, it is always fun!
