Pecs Bar

(184 Ratings)
Relaxed hangout

This dark, discreet gray cement building is full of rainbows inside. Just open the door at the "we're open" sign and find a packed cruise bar.

A San Diego Tradition

My first trip out to SD was nearly 16 years ago. Having not been here before it took me a while to get my bearings. Now I love San Diego and Pecs! Funny thing is San Diego is a BIG town with a small town feel. You feel really drawn to it at first as you should! It's beautiful!!!!!! Yet when you enter PECS ...the locals know you are not a local. For some...THIS is a big deal (non-friendly). For most of the others...chat time! This is a cruise bar but could be better if the locals loosened up a bit. PECS....welcome us as we would welcome you. Visiting from Mississippi

My partner and I visited on Friday and Saturday 3/23 - 3/24. Had a blast lots of guys to look at and the drinks were fair priced and flowed very well. :) Will be back.

Improved Patio, but same old Pec's (thankfully)

The patio is bigger and better, yet Pec's remains an unpretentious, masculine, partially Levi/Leather hangout, but mostly it's guys who like drinking, food, and sex. Free pizza lasts only a few minutes among these hungry bears and their friends/admirers. Like The Hole on Sundays, women are rare but not shunned, though the focus is on guys getting drunk and laid, or just kicking back with a beer, burger, and smoke.

GOOD MEMORIES

I used to get to Pecs every time I was in SD....brought a friend down for a weekend once, and we pissed erach other on the sdance floor (my apologies to the cleanup crew!). We were slow dancing and so didn';t wsant to break the mood when we needed to pee, so we enjoyed our fave WS activity right there. Used to be a great bar; can't say about today.
