Fantastic Food, Relaxing Service
I ate here last night (May, 2010) with two local friends. My seafood pasta was absolutely delicious -- and I eat similar dishes regularly. The pasta was freshly made in-house, and the abundance of fresh seafood almost overwhelmed the pasta. But what really stood out was the sauce. I don't even know exactly what made it so delicious -- it certainly wasn't like any traditional sauce I've ever had. One friend had the lobster macaroni and cheese, which is one of their signature dishes; the other had pot roast (which looked a bit stringy to me, but I don't eat beef, and he seemed satisfied). Two minor minuses: The warm apple tart, which we had to wait 15 minutes for, was OK, but not nearly as good as it sounded on the menu. And the service was so relaxed that we got a little annoyed -- and the waiter knows my friends by name. He was very friendly, but I expected him to be a little more on top of things. The restaurant still deserves four stars.
