NON-SEXIST DANCE: Out of this World!

You're invited to the Winter 2013 NON-SEXIST DANCE!! Invite your friends to this event!
Please read all of the following important info:

The Non-Sexist Dances are hosted by the LGBTQIA at UCSD. They are a time-honored campus tradition where everyone, Queers and Allies, can come together in a safe space! LGBTQIA is committed to providing a friendly, open, hate-free and drama-free atmosphere. If you have issues with queers, have misogynistic tendencies, etc. leave it at the door. Bust a move on the dance floor, meet new people, and enjoy a fabulous night with friends! Also available are gender-neutral bathrooms and coat check!

--> Line will form outside the MAIN BOOKSTORE ENTRANCE.
--> No tickets required for entry. Late arrival NOT recommended. This event will reach capacity.
--> Price: FREE, but DONATIONS are encouraged!
--> Ages: 18+ (with valid government-issued ID), or valid UCSD ID
--> ID: UCSD or other valid government-issued ID card (driver's license, state ID, etc.) is MANDATORY. We can't let you in if you don't have an ID. NO exceptions.
-->No re-entry.

Coat check $2. Water bottles $2.

The University, citing liability and insurance concerns, will no longer allow us to have the dance open to all ages or allow re-entry.
The future of these dances hinges on you; please drink responsibly. Know your limits; this will help ensure everyone enjoys the dance all night! :)

Bring whomever you want, regardless of gender. This is a NON-SEXIST DANCE!

Volunteers do not have to wait in line to get in to the dance, but must commit to a 1-hour shift. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering and we will tell you about our next volunteer orientation. You must have completed the volunteer orientation and be on the volunteer list prior to the dance in order to volunteer.

Q: Do I have to dress to the theme to attend?
A: No, but it makes it all the more fun if you do!

Q: I am not a UCSD student, can I still go?
A: YES but you need your 18+ ID!

Q: I don't want to risk being denied entry because the event reaches capacity. What can I do?
A: We will likely reach capacity so arrive early to ensure entry. Consider volunteering to guarantee entry. Email for more information!

Q: I don't want to use a gender-neutral bathroom, or look at a bunch of queers dancing with each other, or be hit on by one of them. Can I come to the dance and give nasty looks and make nasty comments about that? I'd also like to objectify women while I'm at it.
A: NO, we'd prefer that none of that happen at our dances. It's totally possible to be respectful and have fun at the same time.

We look forward to seeing you February 23!
