For travelers without a car looking to experience the Hillcrest scene, the Balboa Park Inn is in a great location. Added bonus that it borders the park.

Great place.locally owned VERY close to the zoo and hillcrest/north park. each room unique and clean..sweet in room continental breakfast..easy on the wallet prices. VERY special very private and CLEAN
