A Reason to Sing: Summer Choral Intensive Final Concert

More than fifty high school singers from all over San Diego County come together for a week long intensive choral learning environment and celebration of the ARTS. On Saturday, July 16th, they will present the culmination of that learning alongside the 20 professional voices of SACRA/PROFANA's core chorus. Under the direction of Juan Carlos Acosta and Dr. Keith Pedersen, "A Reason to Sing" will feature choral music spanning four centuries around themes of singing and music. The concert will also feature the world premiere performance of "Fi-yer!" by up and coming composer/arranger Brandon Waddles, slated to be published by GIA Publishing next season.
