We need leaders to participate in this special memorial at the parade
Dear fellow San Diego Latinx Leaders,
Our Pride Parade, which is usually a celebration, will begin with a tribute to the Orlando 49.
As you may know and feel, the lack of non-LGBT Latinx support or outreach to the LGBT community post Orlando has been deafening.
In tribute to the 49 lives lost, I and San Diego Pride are asking you to help us fill this gap by participating in our tribute to those lives. We want you, our latinx community, both LGBTQ+ and non, to be the ones to hold the signs portraying the names, ages and photos of those lost in Orlando.
We understand that many of you may already be participating in the parade in some way. As this is the beginning of the Parade some of you may be able to walk and then return to the start to walk again with your respective groups.
Thank you to those who have already responded to the request. Please help us fill this spots with folks from our latinx community by forwarding this request off to our fellow latinx friends and family.

Of note, this Saturday July 9th there is also a San Diego Latino/Latina/Latinx Memorial for Orlando-Somos Una Gente event you are encouraged to attend.
