On the third Thursday of every month from 5 to 8 PM, local partners Stone Company Store On Kettner, The Flight Path, and SDSU Downtown Gallery join MCASD to welcome you to the downtown neighborhood of Core-Columbia.
Enjoy free admission and guided tours of exhibitions at MCASD Downtown and SDSU Downtown Gallery, located just one block south of the Museum. Take advantage of $5 drink and appetizer specials at The Flight Path Wine Bar & Bistro and Stone Brewing Company, next door to the Museum on Kettner. At MCASD Downtown, guests will enjoy music by emerging DJs, and performing art events ranging from dance excerpts to music ensembles or spoken word. Join conversation-based tours led by our Gallery Educators at 5:30PM and 6:45 PM; stop by our Extended School Partnership (ESP) student art showcases upstairs on select dates; or drop in on Xcerpts—a book club held in our new readingROOM across the street at 1001 Kettner. Starting in December, peruse the shelves of the pop-up book truck parked on the North Plaza at 1001 Kettner and curl up with your selection on outdoor furniture supplied by the Downtown San Diego Partnership for an al fresco read. Also enjoy a grilled chese sandwich from Grater Grilled Cheese Truck.
