Super Awesome Showdown Intergalactic Combat started eons ago in the Quasar Galaxy. The tournament was created to showcase the multi-verses most extraordinary life forms. They fought for the fate of the universe in the sacred structure known as the battle grid. It wasn't long before the fate of the cosmos was seen as a tool for profit. The green alien known as Gorgus Marsupilami made these duels popular by selling billions of tickets across the universe and hosting thousands of tournaments. Super Awesome Showdown is now on planet Earth!
Now as February approaches, Owner and Curator of Super Awesome Showdown, Gorgus Marsupilami, has reported that despite the absence of several key competitors in Super Awesome Showdown, our latest event, Totally Awesome Super Awesome Showdown will indeed be taking place on February 19th 2016! According to reliable sources, Vic Valentine has been on the move and somehow gained access to a strange device that could alter the fabric of history! We have also recorded bizarre readings of a strange humanoid life form originating from the pacific ocean, and it seems to be communicating on the same wavelength as the Super Awesome Mainframe!
Both Polybius and Lord Magnos have been silent, apparently recovering from the wounds suffered in their previous battles, and both the Murder Slug and Habanero have not been seen since their summoning at Deep Space Doomsday! Captain Ultra Fist has been mourning the death of Kid Night, and Rain Fro was last seen entering the belly of the Murder Slug! Lastly it seems that Kid Night’s mask was stolen after his burial, but for what purpose we are unaware! Super Awesome Showdown is in complete disarray, and with some of it’s most powerful allies now missing from action, it seems that reality is in greater jeopardy than ever before! What will happen at Totally Awesome Super Awesome Showdown?! Will the universe be threatened once again? Will Bill Foreal ever recover from his Murder Slug trauma?! Will our concession stand at last run out of pop tarts?! Find out on February 19th, at the beautiful Palace of Power at Tango
Our venue, the Palace of Power (Tango Del Rey) offers a beautifully crafted building. Built in 1984 by Don Francisco Ballardo. Ballardo was an eccentric supporter of the arts and gave San Diego a landmark that is unique, to this city, country and the world. When you visit the venue you feel as if you are taking a trip to another country or planet. Beyond these doors lies a fairy tale land of castles, sultan palaces and other magical places not normally found in our young city. Super Awesome Showdown is proud to be hosted by Tango Del Rey. The Tango Del Rey offers a sky view of the show from the balcony. There is also full bar and food. Enjoy dinner and drinks while watching the greatest heroes and villains wage combat for
galactic supremacy!
Sincerely,
Gorgus Marsupilami,
Curator and President of Super Awesome Showdown
