Zelman's work has been shown or collected by The Museum of Photographic Arts, The Museum of Contemporary Art, The Lucie Foundation, FCMOA, The Center of Photographic Arts, The Center for Exploratory and Perceptual Arts, Newspace Center for Photography, The Portland Museum of Art and many others. His most recent book and the current show at Sparks Gallery, Isolated Gesture, was awarded a coveted Art Director's Club award by Albert Watson.
The Sparks Gallery is housed in the historic Sterling Hardware Building: 530 Sixth Avenue, San Diego 92101, between Island and Market. Parking is most available at the Park It On Market parking structure at 614 Market (and 7th) for $1 per hour or Horton Plaza: 3 hours free with Horton Plaza kiosk validation before 9pm (10-15 minute walk to the gallery).
Regular gallery hours are Monday through Thursday: 11am-7pm and Friday through Sunday: 11am-9pm.
