Sean Strub's 'Body Counts': In Conversation w/ Rex Wockner

Join us at The San Diego LGBT Community Center for a very special event as author and activist Sean Strub discusses his latest book and the state of the AIDS epidemic with veteran journalist Rex Wockner. Sean Strub is a veteran AIDS activist and has been living with HIV since the late 1970s. His new book Body Counts: A Memoir of Politics, Sex, AIDS and Survival is a report from the front lines of the epidemic. Strub identifies the heroes and villains of the early years of AIDS. The bravery and the cowardice of politicians, doctors and everyday people. But Body Counts is not merely a history book. It looks honestly at the current state of the epidemic -- and offers crucial strategies on how we can work towards ending the AIDS crisis. Rex Wockner, San Diego's own "one-man gay AP," is known and respected worldwide for his reporting on LGBT issues. Since 1985 his work has been published in more than 325 outlets and in nearly 40 countries.
