A Bare Bear Day at Black's Beach

Come warm your buns and erase your tan line with us at Black's Beach this Saturday. We will be heading down the Eden Trail from the Glider Port around 9 am and heading north on the beach. We will have a bear flag and a blue beach umbrella up to make the spot easier to find. For those who haven't been, the address of the Glider Port is: 2800 Torrey Pines Scenic Dr.,La Jolla, CA 92037 Bring plenty of sunscreen, a big beach towel, snacks/lunch and something to drink (No alcohol or glass on the beach and no pets.) Please pack out everything you bring down. It will be a good hike up the beach and climbing the trail back up from the beach is somewhat strenuous with some slippery (sandy) sections, so bring appropriate footwear and always use caution. On our last few trips, we have seen dolphins and sea lions playing close to the shore. There are also stingrays in shallow waters, so be sure to shuffle your feet whenever you are in the ocean. This is a State Beach and is patrolled by a Lifeguard truck.
