I was not able to see the Black's Beach Bares, the clothing-optional volleyball players, but the mental image of them is really hot! A note on getting there: I entered Black's Beach by way of the Torrey Pines Gliderport and then hiked down the cliff. If you take this route, be sure to wear hiking boots for your safety. Pack your flip-flops or sandals or sneakers in your beach bag, but don't try going down the cliff wearing them. Once you get to the beach, the eye candy is everywhere! If you aren't bothered by the clothing optional mentality, a visit to Black's will give you the best San Diego has to offer. Just drive along the dirt road as far as you can, and you'll find the somewhat sketchy path leading down to the coast.
