This is how a bar is supposed to be... cheap drinks and GOOD drinks and staff is very friendly. They introduced us to almost everyone in the place.

I have been going to this bar for about 5 years, and yes, there are older men that hang out there, but who cares. The drinks are great, the people are friendly and the prices are fabulous. I have never seen a fight here, nor any bad attitudes. If you want a good drink and friendly people, go here for a drink (or 5).

I love this place. It is the ultimate dive bar. Drinks are hella strong and cheep. Yep there is your stable old gay man at the bar. You have the young drunk ones plaing pool and goofing off and most of the time the bartenders are having as much fun as the quest. They always make you feel welcome, even if they dont know you and it is a great place to go when you feeling like showing up at a bar along. You always find someone to talk to and dont feel like you look like a hooker! LOL

I would have to agree that the place is a cramped place with old drunk ugly men! I think pecs is a much friendlier fun bar!

Remember what The Loft is & you'll have a blast! If you want a friendly pour at an easy "just around the corner" dive The Loft is the place.

Hot lost boys... strange people. Not much to say. No sex appeal at all. FILTHY bathrooms.

This is simply a great local establishment with fun, friendly, and inviting staff! I stopped in for a few cocktails and had a wonderful time. The locals were quick to engage me in conversation and the staff equally friendly and welcoming. If you're visiting the San Diego gay community of Hillcrest definitely make The Loft part of your plans.

Whenever I am in San Diego I always start at the Loft, it is my home away from home. I alway have a good time and have met some really cute guys here.

Yes, lot's of old men who seem too drunk, mean and obnoxious I only stayed for 1 drink as I got pushed and shoved.

This is a neighborhood bar. The bartenders and patrons make you feel at home. The drinks are large and moderately priced. Lots of fun. Highly recommend this place.

...jump OFF a loft! The bar has a very cold atmosphere. Lots of older men who get drunk and MEAN...They have been known to throw guys out if they make even the slightest complaint. This is truly the worst gay bar I've ever been to!!
