I went to this a lot and on a friday me and a friend of mine want to party hardy. When we got in this place thinking it was great, the place was so dead it was a waste of time. I asked if it was going to get busy and they told me that it was so by the time we came back at midnight it was dead as a door nail. So I talk to the cashier and she said she couldn't refund my money so me and my friend will never come back here again.

This place is the crumiest place ive been to yet in sd the one time i went i walked in and they were playing the worst techno ive ever heard and i almost got mowed over by some 50 yr old lady that was so wasted she was walking diagnolly with the free hand outstreched to stop herself from bringing her body to a halt with her face. there were maybe 15 or so people in the place and they were all of the same caliber as the lady i previously mentioned. i walked in looked around and walked out. who knows maybe it was just a bad night there but i doubt it

THE FIRST TIME I WENT TO FLAMES I WAS NOT IMPRESSED.A BUNCH OF OLD LADIES ON PROBABLY THEIR 40'S DANCIN ON THE DANCE FLOOR GRINDIN ON EACH OTHER (NASTY)ALOT OF THEM. AND THE PLACE REEKS. I SAT AT THE BAR AND THIS FAT PERVERTED DUDE KEPT LICKIN HIS LIPS EVERYTIME I TURNED .NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN!!!

Friday nights at the Flame are the worse nights I have spent out and i mean the WORSE. I went the last twice and the crowd was well not so much a crowd. THere are about a handful of people that you can count on your hands and toes. THe girls which the call there Go GO's cant hold a beat if it killed them. THey have a Dj who is so old she could be my grandmother. THe music is just as bad as the dancers! It wouldnt matter if your completly smashed you still wouldnt have any fun.. I would have to say never and I repeat NEVER go to the GIrls night at the FLAME

I was really disappointed. We went there expecting a good crowd and the place was completely empty around midnight. There were literally only a handful of people. To add insult to injury, 8 of us each paid a $5 cover charge. The dancers were struggling to do just that... dance. I've never seen less rhythm in my life. Contrary to some of the comments though, I found the staff to be pleasant, both inside and out. I think this is a cool club as far as layout, etc., but I won't be going back until its popularity picks up, if it ever does.

WE stopped by The Flame last Saturday and we had a blast, unbeknowns to me there was a go go contest going on there were 8 guys and one girl, everyone had fun, the bar is very nice, actually 3 bars, the red room is red red red, very captivated with flat screens and red pool table , staff was alot of fun you must check out DRAGON (straight) maybe,right?, ok so you guys have to check it out, one of the nicest cleanest clubs in san diego

Asian Night at the Flame? What a joke! $10 cover charge, and the clientele - basically sticky rice. The Rage in West Hollywood puts the Flame to shame! the guys there are CUTER and friendlier - unlike the 'Weho wannabe's' at the Flame. Bouncer also needs some lessons in customer service.

Staff was rude, had to pay $8 to get in and not worth the money at all...

first time i clubbed in SD was here. i guess im used to WEHO but people here were such stuck up assholes. I come from hollywood were people are stuck up but at least theyre good looking. people here were total trolls and they think theyre the shit. it;s unbelieveable. the bouncer is a total asshole too.

lights everywhere...spacey lounge style. The main dance room music is kinda lame though. I actually like the music in the back much better but it is not for dancing. I usually go here when I want to chill in the back on the nice cushions.

I used to frequent The Flame in the 80's and 90's and even a few years ago. But now, it's attiude, attitude, attitude! The music sucks, the bartenders/barmaids, act as if they're doing you some tremendous favor by serving you. Act like they can't be bothered, you're inconveniencing them by buying them a drink. The Flame used to be the "happening" place, now it's a waste of time to go in the door. My partner and I walked in and five minutes later, walked back out. There's practically no room to dance, and who would want to anyway, with noise like that, that they call "music". The Flame is dead and gone as far as I'm concerned.

Every time i've been there i had a blast there will always go to that club.

All I have to say is NUMBERS is right across the street. Very convient for when you're bored of Flame. There is no one there.

the flame was the hotspot for the late 80's and early 90's what happened to it? the music sucks. not a safe place to hang out anymore with friends

I've been their a couple of fridays, and I can tell you that I rather go accross the street and hang out with the lesbians. The bar it self is really cool looking, but I've seen so many people fall of the dance stages and the staff acts like it's your privelage to be their. I've actully heard a bar back say how stupid people are for coming their when they could be at better bar's.
