According to the bar tender this bar/restaurant at 1202 University Avenue is now known as "The Range" as of a week ago( looks like they were at an old site across the street and a few blocks west from and old sign and abandoned building I saw). She stated Eden closed down in July, 2012.
Mississippi Boys
Would have been a great place to visit if we got there earlier and maybe had a group of people to meet up with. Loved the dance floor the out door area was awesome.
Time will tell
Many feel the jury still is out on this upscale club/eatery in the gayest section of Hillcrest. Formerly Universal, the look has changed slightly, but not the velvet rope/business casual vibe. Brunch at the outdoor adjacent area is a pleasant weekend experience, however, with food, music, and mimosas worth the slightly higher price (unlike the nightclub experience, so far...)

Great bar and hot bartenders. Crowd was better on Friday. The Saturday crowd looked like the island of misfit toys
Eden goes to Hell
The legacy continues....Universal closed with contractors seeking $446,522 for their work on the venue. EDEN carries on the tradition. Several contractors and vendors are not being payed for work and materials even before the doors open. Please spend your money elsewhere. Eden is doomed and headed straight to Hell.
